Become a Mentor

How to become a mentor in BOSIF programs.

Mentorship plays a critical role in guiding students and early contributors through responsible and effective participation in open source initiatives.

Experienced professionals, faculty members, and practitioners may contribute as mentors by:

  • Guiding students and contributors on technical or governance topics
  • Supporting learning, collaboration, and best practices
  • Encouraging ethical and community-oriented participation

Mentorship roles are voluntary and advisory in nature and do not create employment or contractual obligations.
